Coming to better terms with memoQ
Webinar slides and an invitation to free workshops in February 2025
Today I gave an online workshop on terminology handling in memoQ for the Israeli Translators’ Association. This talk was a little different than ones I gave in the past. The association planned to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting on the same occasion, and I wasn’t sure how much of the scheduled 90 minutes this might take up, so as “insurance” I created a number of additional slides (sort of like a bibliography) pointing to past articles and public training videos on the subject of terminology handling in memoQ to
cover aspects that might interest participants but for which there was clearly no time,
provide more detailed information on features and techniques I did discuss, and
facilitate review of key parts of the workshop.
The complete set of lecture slides is available here:
A recording of the workshop is (as far as I know) only available to registered participants, but on 20 & 27 February 2025 there will be a three hour public workshop in two parts of 90 minutes each covering some of the same subject matter and expanding on it as well as some things related to terminology (like exchange and output management) that I haven’t discussed publicly for a very long time.
Both parts of the February workshop are free of charge to attend, and recordings and resources will be available to paid subscribers to this publication and also available individually on my Patreon site (which I am slowly setting up as a venue for resource and book distribution that will enable updates to be distributed with greater ease).
